About the Role
The Festival Producer reports to the Creative Director, and is responsible for managing the logistics of sessions and speakers across the Festival programme. Working closely with the external production team, Travel and Accommodation Coordinator and the venue team, the Festival Producer is key to the smooth running of a complex and exciting event.
The role is based in London with one week in Edinburgh between 16 and 24 August 2024.

- Previous festival or production experience is preferred, but not essential
Responsibilities:
Editorial:
- The Festival Producer and Creative Director are the key contacts for Advisory Committee members and all external session producers.
- Support the Creative Director in the delivery of all Festival sessions, including liaising with external producers to keep track of all sessions, speakers and schedule updates, and ensure that all internal spreadsheets and databases are accurate and up to date
- Develop good relationships with committee and producers, enabling you to check on session progress, speaker bookings and help as needed
- Researching and securing relevant panellists and chairs for sessions where required
- Working with the Creative Director to compile the Festival schedule
- Manage editorial relationships with outside organisations, as required
- Supporting the Creative Director to keep track of representation and inclusion across the Festival programme
- Oversee the production of individual sessions, if required
Production:
- Co-ordinate session information including panellists, chairs, and any production requirements, including collating bios, headshots and copy for all sessions
- Work closely with the Marketing team to lead on collating and delivering all editorial copy for the Festival brochure in line with deadlines
- Oversee the budget for travel and accommodation
- Work closely with the Travel and Accommodation Co-ordinator to secure bookings for guest speakers
- Oversee and coordinate the creation of any audiovisual material or slides needed for sessions, including sourcing, managing and delivering all necessary material to the edit production house; managing the production timeline for edit delivery; ensuring all material is subtitled
- Ensuring all speakers are registered for the Festival and that filming release forms have been signed
- Creating and managing editorial timelines, including announcements and deadlines, in collaboration with the Creative Director
Marketing & PR:
- Update the Social Media and Content Executive and Festival PR team with any confirmed speakers which can be announced and support the Creative Director to manage these announcements
- Working with the team to ensure editorial information is up to date across the website, programme, and internal working spreadsheets
Other Projects
- Coordinate content for any screenings taking place during the TV Festival. Work with the Creative Director to coordinate talent for a live Q&A at the event and manage the event onsite with an external producer.
Onsite – Edinburgh
- Point of contact for co-ordinating the filming of events
- Liaising with external session producers to ensure their sessions run smoothly
- Coordinate any screening activity

Benefits
Salary: £31,000 pa pro rata
Fixed Term Contract: April – August 2024
