Lee is a BAFTA winning producer who has been Managing Director of Sid Gentle Films since the company was formed by Sally Woodward Gentle in 2013.

He has executive produced both series of the multi-award winning Killing Eve, a female spy thriller for BBC America. Series two aired on BBC One in June 2019. Starring Jodie Comer, Sandra Oh and Fiona Shaw – who have all won coveted awards for their roles – the first series was written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Series 3 is about to enter production.

He was executive producer on all four seasons of the BAFTA nominated ITV ratings hit The Durrells, as well as SS-GB – the Purvis and Wade adaptation of Len Deighton’s classic thriller that transmitted on BBC One in February 2017 – and Sky Arts highly acclaimed Neil Gaiman’s Likely Stories.

Prior to Sid, Lee was executive producer on David S. Goyer’s Da Vinci’s Demons (Starz/BBCW/FOX), setting the show up and working on the first two seasons. He has produced many high-profile dramas including the BAFTA award winning Any Human Heart (Carnival/C4), Peter Morgan’s The Jury (ITV), and Enid starring Helena Bonham Carter (Carnival/BBC). He was also co-producer on the feature film The Damned United, as well as producing My Zinc Bed and A Number (both for HBO/BBC Films). He worked in-house at the BBC for many years, where he was responsible for the physical production of several major mini-series including The Long Firm, Archangel, The Lost World, Daniel Deronda and The Sins.
