James Acaster is ‘One of comedy’s most original voices’ (Evening Standard). A whimsical master, he has received acclaim from around the world, including a record breaking 5 consecutive nominations for ‘Best Comedy Show’ at the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. In 2017 he toured the country with a staggering three show ‘Trelogy’, performing Recognise, Represent and Reset consecutively over three nights in each venue. These three shows and Recap form his Netflix four-part series, Repertoire. It’s the first of its kind, a stand-up miniseries with an overarching narrative, and James is the first UK comic to shoot more than one Netflix Original special. James has also been enjoying success in the US, with a run of sold out debut shows in LA and New York this year, adding extra dates due to demand. He has also performed on CBS’s Late Late Show with James Corden and TBS’s Conan.
In 2017 James released his debut book Classic Scrapes which made the Sunday Times bestseller list.
Since February 2019 James has been the co- host, rule master and points giver of the hit comedy panel show Hypothetical on Dave, alongside Josh Widdicombe. The show sees top comedians being posed absurd hypothetical situations and subsequently being scored by James on how well they would deal with them.

This year on top of a sold-out UK tour of James’ new show Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 he is also releasing a new book Perfect Sound Whatever along with continuing his hit Off Menu podcast with Ed Gamble.
