Comedy has a long and healthy tradition of pushing boundaries, whether that’s through social commentary by stealth, biting satire, giving underrepresented groups a voice or simply revelling in the thrill of saying the unsayable or showing the unshowable.

But in a socially connected world, where context can easily be lost and opinions shut down, how do we ensure that we’re not in danger of losing our nerve?

Our panel look back over some of comedy’s most memorable boundary-pushing moments to discuss how the lines of acceptability may have changed and whether we’re being brave enough with our comedy.
