The Network
The Network is our free entry-level access programme open to anyone aged 18+. This scheme offers money-can’t-buy opportunities in Edinburgh and ongoing support to help kick-start a career in TV.
For more than 30 years, Edinburgh TV Festival has been providing free-to-access career development opportunities and other groundbreaking initiatives. We aim to improve inclusivity by leveraging the Festival’s position at the heart of the industry to make TV more accessible to more people.
In 2019, our charity was relaunched as The TV Foundation to encompass and build on the work we do year-round to support new and emerging talent.

We have helped more than 4,000 alumni progress in the TV industry already. You could be part of our like-minded community of talented TV professionals making strides across the industry.
Ones to Watch gives TV’s rising stars access to inspiring sessions and debates, unrivalled networking opportunities, and mentoring throughout the year.
ReConnect is a brand-new initiative from the TV Foundation and Edinburgh TV Festival to support individuals who are returning to the TV industry after time away for any reason.
TV PhD gives Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded PhD students the opportunity to learn more about the TV industry. Delegates also attend the TV Festival for free.
The New Writers’ Collective is a brand new initiative designed to discover and support new TV writers who do not yet have representation or their first screenwriting credit.
Bringing together ten TV professionals in a yearlong programme to put climate at the heart of the industry. As a Changemaker you will have ambitions to bring climate to the screen and want to join a supportive community of like-minded individuals to make that happen.

Amplify helps creatives master the skills needed to develop their careers and get their voices heard.
Speakers such as Amelia Dimoldenberg, Nathan Foad, and Munya Chawawa come together to deliver a programme of masterclasses designed to give attendees the skills they need to get themselves heard.
A brand-new event that asks how we can harness the power of TV when it comes to saving the planet. A one-day event focused on the industry’s creative responses to the climate crisis.
AHTV brings together TV professionals and academics working in the arts and humanities.
Our unique programme of sessions, panels, speed meetings, and round-table discussions is designed to foster relationships, improve understanding, and strengthen the connection between these industries.
All donations we receive directly fund the TV Foundation and help us support new and emerging talent year-round.
