Shibani Das is an AHRC CDP student from New Delhi studying Race, Ethnicity and Telecommunications in Britain and its Empire in India. She is a student at the University of Exeter and works in close partnership with the British Telecommunications Archives. She focuses on unearthing marginalised South Asian voices through popular sources in communications history. Having worked extensively in the heritage-education sector in India, she now hopes to champion the representation of formerly colonised South Asian historical actors in heritage education in the United Kingdom.
