New Writers Collective 2023

Lare is a British-Nigerian writer, actor, creative producer for stage and screen whose work showcases black and African diasporic perspectives in mainstream, audience-challenging narratives. His debut play Glory, Hellfire was written on the Soho Theatre Writers’ lab (2022), and he is currently a member of Bush Emerging Writers’ Group (2023-24) and the Oxford Playhouse Playmakers (2024). His TV pilot St Diamond won a place on the All3Media Edinburgh TV Festival New Writers’ collective (2023), and he is now developing projects across TV, film, and theatre.  As a script editor & producer, Lare currently works in development at Greenacre Films, has strategy and commissioning experience at Disney+ and recently assistant script edited on the Channel 4 Screenwriting Scheme.  He studied a BA at Cambridge University before completing diplomas in Creative Writing for Performance (Cambridge University) and Acting (Central School of Speech and Drama).
