Kit Morey began their role as Commissioning Editor for Channel 5 in 2019. Morey is responsible for commissioning fresh, exciting content in the Popular Factual space that reflects the Channel 5 brand whilst capturing viewers.

Since joining Channel 5, they have commissioned nearly 250 hours of prime time shows which include over a dozen original new series such as Motorhoming with Merton & Webster, Million Pound Motorhomes, Sally Lindsay’s Posh Sleepover and most recently Lost Dogs: LIVE with Clare `Balding. They’ve also commissioned returnable formats such as Ben Fogle’s Make a New Life in The Country, 999: Emergency Call Out and Ambulance Code Red, which is 5Stars highest rated factual series, along with overseeing popular returners such as Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly, Rich Kids Go Skint and The Hotel Inspector. 

A few of their recently announced new format series which have yet to air are Inside The Park Lane Hilton, Guide Dog Puppy School, The Pet Psychic and The Toy Hospital,

Before beginning the role at Channel 5, Morey was at Spun Gold as the Executive Producer on ITV’s Real Full Monty and prior to that was Head of Popular Factual at Rise Films where they developed Channel 4’s prime time social experience series, Meat The family. They’ve also held Executive Producer roles at betty, Shine, Lambent and twenty twenty overseeing brands such as Channel 4 prime time series One Born Every Minute, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners and the first series of First Dates. Morey also series produced Famous, Rich and Jobless, Babies in the Office and Would Like to Meet for BBC3, BBC1 and BBC2 respectively.
