Kate Harwood began her career in drama at the Royal Court Theatre before moving to the BBC in 1990 where she worked in in house production as script editor, producer, Executive Producer and latterly Head of Drama Production, England. Her career included productions such as David Copperfield, Holding On, Daniel Deronda, Cranford and the BAFTA winning Charles II. She also ran EastEnders from 2005-6 As Head of Drama Production she oversaw shows such as Luther, Slient Witness and Lark Rise to Candleford amongst many others.
From 2014 – 2024 she was Managing Director of Euston Films and they made Hard Sun, Dublin Murders, Baghdad Central, The Sister, Wreck and Nightsleeper in that time.
In 2025 she joined Element Pictures as an Executive Producer.
