Kalum is a TV writer and playwright based in London. He primarily focuses on the comedy-drama genre, telling stories which, on paper, could just as easily be incredibly bleak dramas. He loves to find the comedy in the catastrophe, the laughs in the lousy and the ha ha in the horrible. Kalum grew up in Romford, Essex and his stories are rooted in that same sense of place. He is influenced by his upbringing, and it’s where his “if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry” attitude comes from—helping his scripts get shortlisted or be finalists in multiple competitions/awards.
