Jonny joined the BBC Drama team in Summer 2026 from Disney+ where, in his role as Director, Scripted Originals, he oversaw UK original dramas including the second series of Rivals, A Thousand Blows, Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes and Shardlake, alongside supporting local scripted creative teams across EMEA.
Prior to joining Disney, Jonny held Head of Development roles at Element Pictures and Longboat Pictures. He was previously a drama Commissioning Executive at Channel 4, where he oversaw series including No Offence, Humans, and Baghdad Central, as well as Brexit: The Uncivil War, and the twice BAFTA-nominated emerging writer and director anthology On The Edge. Jonny began his career at ITV Studios, where his credits include Vera, Jericho and Mr Selfridge.
