Joe Hullait

Joe is a C4 commissioner for Comedy, where he has overseen scripted titles including Big Boys, The Windsors, The Curse and Stath Lets Flats. Previously he’s shown a keen interest in the subject of climate change by producing a panel at COP26 and co-commissioning (with C4 Ents) the 2021 RTS-winning special How We Forgot To Save The Planet. Before joining C4 Joe was a writer and producer of comedy, most notably creating the BBC Scotland sitcom Scot Squad. Though Joe is keen to find high-impact climate-related content within the confines of his genre’s current brief at C4, more generally he relishes the task of encouraging talent to lean into climate positive messages without feeling forced into making didactic content that jars with their natural comic style.
