Holly Barbour

Holly is a Scottish actress/writer from North-East Fife. In 2023/4 she was selected as one of 10 filmmakers by GMACs Little Pictures scheme to write and direct her comedy/drama short film, Shrapnel. Shrapnel received an honourable mention from BIFA qualifying film festival, Women X who named her as one of 75 filmmakers to watch. Holly is an alumnus of Short Circuit’s Convergence Programme and was shortlisted for the Channel 4 New Writers Scheme. Committed to platforming regional and underrepresented voices, Holly particularly enjoys walking the tightrope of darkness and humour in her writing.
