Cal Turner

Cal Turner is a Commissioning Editor in BBC Factual Entertainment and Events, where she oversees a slate of the UK’s best-loved programmes, including The Great British Sewing Bee, DIY SOS, Interior Design Masters and the forthcoming Bill Murray: Off Course. Prior to joining the BBC, Cal was a Commissioning Editor at Channel 4 and a BAFTA-nominated Executive Producer behind major formats including The Apprentice, Grand Designs, Undercover Boss and Snowflake Mountain.

With more than two decades of experience across commissioning, development and production, Cal has built a career connecting large audiences with stories that matter.

She is joining Changemakers because she believes climate storytelling has the greatest impact when woven naturally into compelling formats rather than presented as a separate issue. She hopes to use the programme to deepen her understanding and help ensure climate becomes a natural part of creative conversations, reaching audiences at scale through entertainment-led television.
