TV PhD 2023

I am a PhD student in Global & Imperial History at Oxford. My interdisciplinary project, partnered with the National Trust, focuses on the global connections of Rudyard Kipling’s (1866-1936) East Sussex estate, ‘Bateman’s’. My research interests include race and indigeneity; migration, mobility and transnational lives in the British Empire; environmental and animal histories; historical anthropology and geography. As researcher for Broccoli Productions’ podcast ‘Human Resources’, on the legacies of slavery, I am passionate about accessible histories for public audiences.
