Anni Byard

Anni is a third year CDP student at the University of Leicester and the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Her PhD investigates coin hoarding in Britain between c. 200 BC and AD 96, looking at if, and how, hoarding practices changed over the Iron Age to Roman transition.
Anni has been a professional archaeologist for over 20 years and is a metallic ‘small finds’ specialist. Throughout her adult life Anni has been involved in television and radio programmes and has authored two popular books. Anni hopes to bring her extensive experience of both academic and public archaeology to a wider audience by working with TV companies to help develop new factual and engaging programmes.
