Zoë Tomalin

Development Assistant Producer/ Writer, Hat Trick Productions

Zoë started out as a runner on The One Show, where she made her first TV appearance as one of ten Dot Cottons.

Now an in-house Development AP at Hat Trick, she splits her time between devising unscripted comedy formats and working in production on top comedy-entertainment shows. Her recent credits include being a regular writer for Have I Got News For You and Script Editor on Hypothetical series two and three.

Outside her TV work, Zoë is an unrepentant horror nerd and co-creator of award-winning sketch podcast SeanceCast, which showcases new women and non-binary comedy writers.

I want to create subversive, female-led comedy formats which give women the opportunity to be weird.

“Zoe is a brilliant, committed and annoyingly young producer – I’m excited to see what she can achieve in the coming years.” Stu Mather, Executive Producer, Hat Trick Productions
