Sian Harries

Writer/ Performer, Llanbobl Vision

Sian is a writer performer who co-wrote Greg Davies's Man Down on Channel 4 and BBC Wales's Tourist Trap in which she starred alongside Sally Phillips. She co-wrote and performed in the SONY Award-winning Here Be Dragons radio sketch show and her comedy short NeckFace was nominated for a BAFTA Cymru Award. Sian is passionate about telling women's stories and has produced and presented her own radio documentaries - The Welsh Women of Patagonia and Wales for Women on BBC Radio Wales. She is currently developing a dark comedy about motherhood and friendship and an epic drama about a female sailor. Sian is obsessed with sniffing old books and saving old furniture and recently moved to a sheep farm despite not knowing anything about sheep.

I want the comedy drama series I've created to to be commissioned, for me to perform in it and for it to be co-produced by my own company, Llanbobl Vision. I would love it to win a BAFTA. I would love Llanbobl Vision to become known as a company who creates Award-winning TV and who promotes and helps other minority voices tell their stories too.
