Abigail Keyes

Development Assistant Producer, Afro-Mic Productions

Abigail has been working in development for the past six years, with a focus on creating fun, joyful factual entertainment formats. She moved from London to Glasgow for a 3-month contract in 2016 - and has been there ever since, now splitting her time between Glasgow and Belfast.

With a raft of exciting commissions under her belt, she is passionate about creating more returnable formats that are developed and produced in the Nations and Regions. She is currently working on an innovative slate of new and funded ideas with Afro-Mic Productions, a brilliant Belfast-based indie.

When she’s not developing new shows, Abigail can be found at her sewing machine making jazzy outfits, perfecting her vegan babka recipe or selling her illustrations at local makers’ markets.

Abigail's ambition is to become a Creative Director and develop big, bold returnable international formats that are made in the Nations and Regions.

“Abigail has a passionate, positive and contagious energy that boosts the team and translates into successful commissions. Her dedication to development is second to none.” Emma-Rosa Dias, Managing Director, Afro-Mic Productions
