New Writers Collective 2023

ENTRIES NOW CLOSED

The TV Foundation, a division of The Edinburgh TV Festival, and leading international television, film, digital production and distribution business, All3Media have announced the launch of the New Writers’ Collective an initiative designed to discover and support new TV writers.

Formerly the New Script Award, the updated format will support even more writers – with the final shortlist of ten developing their scripts at an intensive residential retreat with professional guidance from The TV Foundation and from experienced executives and creatives from across the All3Media Group.

The successful ten entrants will also be offered a number of professional networking opportunities and will receive complimentary delegate status at 2023’s Edinburgh TV Festival.

All3Media has been partnering with the TV Foundation for more than five years on a number of initiatives to support and develop new, emerging, diverse and underrepresented talent. The New Script Awards have offered a vital first step towards a credit for a number of writers including David McPherson (THE RIG), Anna Costello (DEAD CANNY) and director Nichola Wong.

The Group has more than 40 production companies and has an exceptional track record in scripted programming, responsible for multi award-winning, critically-acclaimed content, including THE TOURIST, CALL THE MIDWIFE, MIDSOMER MURDERS, FLEABAG, Oscar-winning 1917, THE THIEF, HIS WIFE AND THE CANOE, DES, FEEL GOOD, THE LARKINS and EMPIRE OF LIGHT.
