Sara Missaghian

Assistant Producer, Freelance

Sara is a dynamic and tenacious Assistant Producer who makes brainy content entertaining. She has a track record for finding the stories and contributors that bring fact-ent and specialist factual to life, in development and production.

Since entering the industry through the BBC Russell Joslin Journalism Placement, Sara has racked up credits including Britain’s Most Historic Towns (C4), Antiques Road Trip (BBC), River Hunters (Sky) and All Over the Place (CBBC), and had success in development with Windfall Films and Matchlight. Drawn to the cutting edge, she recently began story consulting for Virtual Reality through the NFTS StoryFutures Academy. She has been involved in inclusive sport for the past decade, and her academic research has been recognised by the Royal Geographical Society.

Sara plans to build a career in development, leading television in new ways of working with technologies and people whilst keeping her production and self-shooting skills fresh.

“Sara is a rare combination of unusual thinker – taking ideas in directions you could not have anticipated – and brilliant organiser, who always goes the extra mile to deliver the goods. Her curiosity about the wider industry and how it works has meant she has always stood out.” Jacqui Hayden, Director of Development, Matchlight
