impact bursary 2025
As part of our mission to make the TV industry more accessible to all, for our 50th edition of the MacTaggart Lecture we’re offering 50 free passes and anyone from a working-class background who is working in the industry can apply.
Everyone that is selected for a Bursary will get a complimentary pass to the Edinburgh TV Festival taking place this year from August 19th – 22nd. You will also have the chance to purchase cheaper accommodation for your stay in Edinburgh.
We know this will be very popular and we only have a limited number of complimentary passes. We will be looking for applications which clearly communicate how attending the Festival this year will impact your career development, as well as considering how your working class background has impacted your career so far.
You can find out more about our work on Class and Social Equality here: https://www.thetvfestival.com/tv-foundation/class-social-equality/
If you have ever taken part in one of the TV Foundations career development programmes, such as Ones To Watch or The Network, there is a separate Festival Bursary and you should have received an email about it. Get in touch with tvfoundation@thetvefestival.com if you didn’t get the email.
