2025 festival bursaries

Impact Bursaries supported by Fremantle

Fremantle

We’ve been moved by the response to our Impact Bursary and the individual stories of structural obstacles people face in being admitted to spaces where information is shared and essential networking can happen.

This year we’re delighted to offer 60 Impact Bursaries, supported by Fremantle, for people from working class backgrounds working in the TV industry to attend the 2025 Festival for free! These bursaries have now been allocated.

You can find out more about our work on Class and Social Equality here.

Alumni Bursaries

To support continuing development of those who have been on our career programmes we will be offering at least a further 100 pass bursaries to alumni to support their professional development as their careers mature.
All alumni have now been contacted with the option to apply for this year.

Access Bursaries

We have an unlimited number of Access Passes available. designed for Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent delegates, for whom attendance at events like the TV Festival incurs additional costs. For delegates who need financial support on top of this discount to attend, the TV Foundation is pleased to offer Access Bursaries of up to £500 per applicant.

To take advantage please go to the Passes page and register for your Access Pass, then apply for the bursary here.

Additional Bursaries

These targeted bursary initiatives join our established bursary programmes for Scottish and Northern Irish producers which are supported by Screen Scotland and NI Screen respectively.

We will be launching further targeted bursary programmes throughout the year. If you have an interest in supporting a particular group in attending this year, please contact info@thetvfestival.com to find out more.

In total, across all of these initiatives we expect to fund access for hundreds of people who otherwise would not have the ability to attend. The TV Foundation is grateful to the partners who support our work in opening up the opportunities the Festival provides every year.

The Festival takes place 19th – 22nd August.
