The TV Foundation

In 2019 the TV Festival launched the TV Foundation - a new brand for its 30 years of charitable work.

Alongside our much-coveted existing schemes, The Network and Ones to Watch which have helped over 4000 individuals, the Foundation also supports our new scheme TV PhD, our annual New Voice Awards, and our annual specialist factual / academic event AHTV. It also supports our partnerships with industry initiatives and year-round events on topics from bullying to mental health.

We remain committed to tackling the big issues, as well as reaching those who don’t believe a TV career is possible for them.

In 2020 The TV Foundation has made the Festival free for freelancers, given a platform to the BAME Task Force and has partnered on Time For Action to help rebuild the industry post-Covid to be a fairer sector for the freelance community.
