Connected meet ups

The ConnectED Meet Ups give delegates an opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow attendees in a casual setting.

Less formal than a speed meeting, more targeted than a party, join us at the ConnectED Lounge at Platform 5 to meet your fellow delegates and make new connections.

Wednesday 20 August - ConnectED Meet-Ups

The ConnectED Meet Ups are available to all delegates, and provide the opportunity to connect with like-minded attendees in a casual setting. You do not need to book in advance to come along to these sessions.

11:00 - 11:45

Welcome to Edinburgh!

Join the Bad Wolf team and festival staff for a warm welcome at the ConnectEd Lounge at Platform 5. We’ll talk you through the excitement of this year’s programme and share helpful tips and tricks to make the most of your time and plan your schedule effectively throughout the week.

13:15 - 14:00

Unscripted Meet Up

Led by the producers of The Assembly – Michelle Singer and Stu Richards, Co-Founders of Rockerdale Studios. Come along to meet and network with your fellow producers, developers, and commissioners in Unscripted. The producers of The Assembly are in a special position to provide insight on working with two major UK broadcasters and share their unique perspectives on the Unscripted landscape.

UPDATE! Dani Carlaw, Head of Unscripted at Screen Scotland, joins Michelle and Stu to share sharp insights into forging powerful connections between Scotland and the world through Unscripted TV and Documentary Film.

Dani oversees a dynamic slate including international co-productions and festival-selected projects, working closely with broadcasters, streamers, and global partners. A former BAFTA Scotland, Grierson and Banff Rockie-winning director, Series Producer and Development Exec, Dani also serves as Chair of BAFTA Scotland, a tutor for Documentary Campus and champions diverse storytelling, talent development and international collaboration across the screen sector.
