Venues

Where is the Summit taking place?

The Climate Content Summit takes place at the Barbican Centre in London. We will be using the Frobisher Auditorium 1 and Conservatory Terrace on the 4th floor, and the Garden Room and Conservatory on the 3rd floor.

The best entrance to use is Silk Street. There will be signs directing you to lifts which will take you to the 3rd floor for registration.

Accessibility

Venue Access and Facilities

There is level access to all venues we are using within the Barbican, and lifts between floors. There are some areas of the Conservatory that are not wheelchair accessible, these areas will not be used for sessions, round tables or workshops.

The Auditorium has two wheelchair spaces in the front row, please let us know when you book your ticket, and/or contact us at info@thetvfestival.com if you will be using a wheelchair or require any support moving around the venue and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.

There are accessible toilets on both floors (3 and 4). There is a Changing Places facility in the Beech Street cinema Complex. For details and photos of these facilities please see the venue website.

Blue badge bays are situated in Car Park 3 & Car Park 5 near to the entrances of both car parks. There is a taxi drop-off at the Silk Street entrance.

See full details of accessibility provison at the Barbican here.

Captions and BSL

All sessions will have live captions. These will be available via url on your smartphone or other device, and we are scoping the feasibility of having them displayed on the screen as well.

We are aiming for the full programme to have BSL interpretation as well, this will be confirmed closer to the time.

If you require a BSL interpreter or other adjustments to allow you to participate in one of the Round Tables please specify this when you complete the sign up form.

PA/Carer pass

If you need someone to accompany you please contact us at info@thetvfestival.com to arrange a free additional pass.

Sustainability

The TV Festival is committed to reducing the impact of all our activity throughout the year. Choosing venues and suppliers that are equally committed to sustainability is important to us. The Barbican has taken a number of important steps including implementing a Zero to Landfill policy and using 100% renewable electricity throughout the building.

We will not be producing a printed programme for this event, but providing it on screens in the venue and online.

We will have badges printed for participants both for security reasons and to facilitate networking. Badges will be both biodegradable and compostable and we will encourage attendees to leave badges with us for recycling before leaving the event.

Catering provided for the Climate Content Summit will be 100% plant-based from sustainably sourced ingredients.
