The number one thing I walked away with was a confidence boost. Obviously a bunch of new friends too, and a lot of practical advice. But namely, being able to call myself a writer and it stick, which has made me so much more courageous and serious with the way I talk about my work. If someone asks me what I do, I say I’m a writer now. Which seems like a small thing, but it’s monumental in my life!
