Amber Haque

Journalist, Freelance

Amber is a creative, dynamic journalist and film-maker, leaving news for the world of long-form docs.

Having cut her teeth as a reporter in the BBC newsrooms in London, she’s now a freelancer based in Leeds.

Amber prides herself on telling raw, human stories and compelling investigations that gain access to some of our most unheard communities.

She always strives to combine journalistic rigour with cinematic storytelling and is currently in production on her first series for 'BBC Three.'

When not knee-deep in research, you can find Amber in the stands at Manchester United, or somewhere on a dance floor...

Amber strives to be a respected documentary maker and continue to explore the human condition across the globe - creating content for the likes of Storyville, Netflix and BBC Three.

“Amber is a hugely talented and dedicated film maker, with an outstanding eye for an original story and a flair for creative storytelling.” Liz Gibbons, BBC World News, Head of News
