Lisa McGee is a stage and screen writer from Derry, Northern Ireland. Lisa most recently created and wrote Derry Girls (Hat Trick/C4) which became Channel 4’s biggest comedy launch since 2004 and the most watched programme in Northern Ireland since records began. She is currently writing the second series and developing various original drama and comedy projects.

Lisa also created and wrote London Irish ( Company Pictures/Channel 4), Raw (RTE) and The Things I Haven’t Told You (Tiger Aspect/BBC3) and has contributed to Indian Summers (New Pictures / Channel 4), The White Queen (Company Pictures / BBC 1) and Being Human (Touchpaper/BBC 3). Her plays include Jump, The Heights (Faber and Faber)  Girls and Dolls and Nineteen Ninety Two (Nick Hern Books)
