Claire Mundell is an award-winning film and television producer.
Claire exec-produced the BBC psychological thriller, The Cry, starring Jenna Coleman through her production company, Synchronicity Films.
Other recent credits include co-producer on Karen Gillan’s 2018 directorial debut, The Party’s Just Beginning, and co-producer on Only You, starring Laia Costa and Josh O’Connor, directed by Harry Wootliff.
Claire produced the feature, Not Another Happy Ending, written by David Solomons and directed by John McKay, released in October 2013. Starring Karen Gillan in her first leading feature role, this feature closed the 2013 Edinburgh International Film Festival and played the 2013 Busan International Film Festival.
In 2011, Claire co-produced the double BIFA-winning, Weekend, written and directed by Andrew Haigh, and in 2009 produced the BAFTA Scotland winning, Crying With Laughter, written and directed by Justin Molotnikov.
Claire has extensive experience in network television having developed prime-time television drama as an executive producer for the BBC.
Prior to launching her film career, Claire was Head of CBBC Scotland, originating, producing and exec-producing various TV shows over a ten-year period, including Shoebox Zoo, the BAFTA and RTS winning 26-part live action CGI fantasy family series and UK Canada co-production starring Peter Mullan.
In addition to her producer role, Claire consults widely for film and TV organizations such as GMAC Film, The Cultural Enterprise Office and is a former Chair of BAFTA Scotland.
