Brandon Riegg is Director, Unscripted Originals & Acquisitions at Netflix, the world’s leading internet entertainment service. He oversees all facets of unscripted programming for local and global commissions, co-productions, and acquisitions. Since joining Netflix, Riegg’s unscripted team has launched acclaimed series including Queer Eye, Nailed It! and My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. Before joining Netflix, Riegg was Senior Vice President and co-head of NBC’s alternative programming department, responsible for notable series The Voice, America’s Got Talent, American Ninja Warrior, Little Big Shots and Hollywood Game Night. In 2011, he was featured on The Hollywood Reporter’s 18th annual Next Gen list. Before NBC, Riegg was the Executive Director of Alternative Series & Specials at ABC, where he oversaw development, production and on-air current programming for series, including Dancing with the Stars, Wife Swap and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He also developed Wipeout, Shaq Vs. and I Survived a Japanese Game Show. In addition to early stints at Mark Burnett Productions and Carsey-Werner-Mandabach Television, Riegg was Director of Series Development & Original Programming for VH1. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
