The Garden

Kate Collier is Creative Director, Development and International at 24 HOURS IN A&E indie The Garden Productions.  She oversees the strategic direction of development and is responsible for the creative drive to export the company’s IP internationally – as well as serving as an Executive Producer on some of The Garden’s output.

 

Kate has won over 50 commissions during her time at The Garden – generating original ideas including BBC Two’s Skies Above Britain and BBC One’s Britain’s Spending Secrets with Anne Robinson, as well as working with the company’s talented exec team to develop series such as the ambitious BAFTA-nominated Keeping Britain Alive: The NHS In A Day for BBC Two, plus innovative BAFTA-nominated format The Audience and BAFTA-winning doc series Bedlam, both for Channel 4.

 

Kate was previously Head of Development at Mentorn Media, where she developed a range of successful documentary singles and series. Her development credits there include Underage and Pregnant and Tulisa: My Mum and Me for BBC Three, An Idiot Abroad for Sky 1 and the BAFTA-nominated Cutting Edge film Katie: My Beautiful Face – which Kate also Assistant Produced – plus the follow-up series Katie: My Beautiful Friends for Channel 4. She started her career at BBC Birmingham, on the development team that created The One ShowTrawlermen and Coast.
