Siobhan Greene

head of entertainment
ITV

Siobhan started her career at Yorkshire Television in Leeds as a typist. She worked as a runner and then researcher on shows like The Time The Place, and fly on the wall documentary series Jimmy’s, before moving to Granada to work on This Morning with Richard and Judy, and eventually Stars in their Eyes. She went on to produce You’ve Been Framed, co-created Popstars the Rivals and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

At the end of 2003, she left ITV to set up Syco Television alongside Simon Cowell and Nigel Hall. Between them they co-created and executive produced The X Factor from 2004, and Britain’s Got Talent from 2007 both here and in the US. They have since become two of the biggest talent show franchises of all time.

Siobhan left Syco Television to return to ITV to become Director of Entertainment for ITV Studios in 2012. During her four years she brought back Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, which has won 7 Bafta’s, and launched Love Island on ITV2. In 2015 she launched the US version of Saturday Night Takeaway in the USA on NBC, renamed, Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris.

Last year Siobhan became Head of Entertainment Commissioning for the ITV, responsible for The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, The Voice and The Voice Kids. She also has a brief to commission new shows – and her first have been announced – namely Last Laugh in Vegas and Ant and Dec’s DNA Journey.
