Richard is one of the most experienced digital leaders in the broadcast sector today.
As Head of All 4, Richard leads both the editorial and product teams, directing and shaping investments in content, curation and technology.
He founded his own interactive design business in 1995. He then went on to Havas to advise some of the world’s best-known brands on digital strategy before founding and later selling his second start-up, a research and design consultancy. He joined Microsoft’s consumer division in 2002 where he became UK Business Manager of seminal global internet services Messenger, Hotmail and MSN.
Richard joined Channel 4 in 2007 and was appointed to Head of Channel 4 Online in 2010. In 2015 he launched and became Head of All 4.
All 4 is one of the UK’s foremost and fastest-growing free VOD channels with revenues of £100m, 10,000 hours of premium content and 15 million registered viewers. He says it as a great honour to lead what he considers to be the highest-performing, most integrated digital team within any hybrid media organisation.
