Acting since the age of 9, Kellie Bright has appeared in numerous film, television, radio and stage productions. Kellie’s first role was at the age of 11 appearing on stage in Les Misérables. Kellie went on to train at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, before landing her roles in children’s television series T-Bag and the popular television series, The Upper Hand. Since then Kellie has worked continuously in television starring in many drama series including Silent Witness, Bad Girls, Rock & Chips and Vera.
Kellie also has a wealth of experience of performing on stage and credits include the Palace of The End and King Lear. Kellie has also appeared in several films, most recently Kinky Boots and Inda House as Ali G’s girlfriend, Julie.
Kellie is currently playing Linda Carter, Landlady of The Queen Victoria in EastEnders. Her first appearance as Linda Carter was in December 2013, alongside Danny Dyer her on-screen partner, when the Carter clan arrived and immediately took over the pub. Since their arrival, the Carters have proved an instant hit with viewers. Kellie’s most notable storyline has been running since last October when Linda was raped by her nephew, Dean Wicks. Kellie’s continuous portrayal of Linda’s ordeal has seen Kellie earn two awards, Best Actress and Best Dramatic Performance, at this year’s British Soap Awards.
