Joanna Rowsell Shand is a retired double Olympic champion cyclist, winning Gold both at the London 2012 Olympics and Rio 2016 Olympic games. She is also a five-time world and four-time European champion, and also winning gold in the 2014 Common wealth games in the individual pursuit. Joanna is an accomplished public speaker, working with high calibre companies across the country, including talks on how to utilise a positive mindset, employee motivation and health and fitness. Joanna has suffered from alopecia from a young age, she is a proud ambassador of Alopecia UK. Joanna is currently a regular cycling pundit on BBC sport alongside Clare Balding and Chris Hoy, and is focusing on her own ‘Rowsell Shand’ coaching company. Joanna is an advocate of helping to get more women into sport.
