Christian Howes is a rare breed. He is a marketer, a research analyst, pitch man and a television presenter. He works with some of the largest brands in the world helping them do more with data.

In a data career spanning over 2 decades, Christian has worked with brands as varied as Sony Playstation, Diageo, The White House, HSBC, RBS, Asos, UMG, Channel 4 and Go Compare (other brands are available).

He rose to fame in an unusual way, the digital and big data expert was ‘spotted’ when observing the social media habits of viewers of the reality TV show Big Brother. Speaking about his findings on Twitter and Facebook, he suddenly landed himself a weekly spot on BB’s Bit on the Side. Where Christian presented his findings to millions of viewers who were chattering about the show but had no idea how their conversations were impacting social media. From Big Brother his insight expertise saw him feature on BBC1’s National Lottery Show, This Morning, GMB, Channel 4’s Alternative Election, The Clare Balding Show and BT Sport.

Christian’s work also has a serious side. He used insights from social media data to accurately predict Brexit and Trump’s successes. He is passionate about new data capture methods.

Christian also is co-owner of a format and ideas company that specialises in creating data based TV formats.
