• Practical Information

Apart from off-site parties and screenings at the Filmhouse, all events take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), which can be found at:

The Exchange,
150 Morrison St,
Edinburgh EH3 8EE.

Located in the Strathblane Hall, the registration desks open an hour before the first session each day (with an additional half hour on day one). We are likely to be very busy on the Wednesday morning, so please be patient as we hand out delegate passes and goodie bags!

Wednesday 23 August 09:00 – 18:00
Thursday 24 August 09:00 – 18:00
Friday 25 August 09:00 – 14:30

Your delegate pass gives you access to all Festival sessions, parties and receptions – you do not need to purchase any further passes or individual tickets, though admission to all sessions is on a first come, first served basis on presentation of a valid delegate badge. Please keep your pass safe- there is a replacement fee of £25 for lost badges.

It may also be necessary to pre-register for certain screenings and networking events – information regarding this will be publicised and circulated to delegates in August.

You will receive a paper copy of the programme and the Festival delegate list in your delegate goodie bag, which you can pick up from the registration desks. We would also encourage you to download the Festival app before you arrive on site, as it includes a digital copy of the programme.

Information Desk

The Festival Information Desk is next to the registration desk in the Strathblane Hall, and will be open throughout the Festival.

Wednesday 23 August 10:30 – 18:00
Thursday 24 August 09:00 – 18:00
Friday 25 August 09:00 – 14:30

The EICC front desk can also provide more specific information about Edinburgh and the other Festivals taking place in August.

The EICC is approximately a 25 minute taxi journey from Edinburgh Airport and 5 minute taxi journey from Edinburgh Waverley Station. Please note that Edinburgh is very busy at this time of year and traffic can be quite heavy. Pre-booked taxis can be ordered from City Cabs (0131 228 1211) or
Central Taxis (0131 229 2468), and there is also a taxi rank outside the EICC.

There is no car park at the EICC and there is rarely any free parking in the city, most is meter paid. Please click here for a list of NCP car parks in Edinburgh.

The EICC has a fully equipped cloakroom where you can safely leave your coats/luggage.
