Samuel Burr

Development Assistant Producer
BBC Documentaries

At the age of nineteen Sam produced a documentary film inside a retirement village which was nominated for a First Light BAFTA award. From there he earned a coveted spot on the Youth Jury at Sheffield Doc/Fest, won a pitching competition at Channel 4 and secured a place on RDF’s prestigious intern scheme where he was instrumental in the development and production of The Greatest Shows on Earth for Channel 4. With a passion and flare for factual storytelling, he’s been responsible for several key development projects in-house at the BBC and recently AP’d an upcoming Modern Times film for BBC2.

“Sam was born to work in telly. Bursting with ideas, energy and charisma. Always on the lookout for the next commission and utterly dedicated to his job. He is as good with casting and dealing with the real world as he is at generating new thoughts for the development pot. An asset to any team.”
