Jerome Bucchan-Nelson

Story Editor
Eastenders, BBC

Jerome’s career began when he won a competition to write on the BBC Three EastEnders spinoff, EastEnders:E20. From there he went on to work in the story and script departments of Hollyoaks and Emmerdale before returning to EastEnders as a Storyliner. Now the its story editor, Jerome is the deputy of the story department. Aside from soap, Jerome’s favourite genres are comedy and science fiction. He hopes to produce his own sitcom one day and is patiently waiting for Steven Moffat to call and offer him the chance to become co-showrunner of Doctor Who.

“Confident, charismatic and creative, Jerome has a sparkling career ahead of him in television drama and no doubt will bag his dream job as Doctor Who‘s show runner in the not too distant future.”
