The Edinburgh Television Festival is one of the most prestigious media events in the UK
In its 43rd year, The Edinburgh International Television Festival is the seminal media event bringing together all parts of the TV world to celebrate the creativity, diversity and inspirational talent in our field and to debate major industry issues.
The Festival comprises over 70 sessions and draws around 2000 delegates each year which include high calibre speakers, from media titans to actors, writers, producers directors and network and channel bosses.
Previous speakers include Ted Turner, Rupert Murdoch, Ricky Gervais, Ted Sarandos, Armando Iannucci, Vince Gilligan, Sharon Horgan, Charlie Brooker, Mike Lombardo, Julie Plec, Martin Freeman, Jay Hunt, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
Established in 1976 we’re still the only event both run by and for the television industry as the Festival is governed by its Executive and Advisory committees.
We're also a charity
We’re committed to helping people from all backgrounds gain access to the TV Industry and the cost of your ticket goes towards supporting our two Talent Schemes, The Network and Ones to Watch.
We provide fully-funded places at Edinburgh, bespoke sessions, training and workshops, as well as year-round events and mentoring. We have supported more than 4000 individuals in various stages of their career, aiming to ensure that the people working in television are as diverse as the audience watching it.See more
