Gamechanger: Courteney Monroe, Nat Geo

Join us for an in-depth conversation with National Geographic’s Global Networks CEO Courteney Monroe as she discusses her efforts to move National Geographic into the premium programming space, and take the brand as a whole from reverence to relevance.  She will share case studies from recent successes including MARS, the network’s first scripted series GENIUS and several high profile releases from the newly formed National Geographic Documentary Films banner.  She will also preview the upcoming event series ONE STRANGE ROCK from Darren Aronofsky, the new feature documentary JANE and the new documentary series THE STORY OF US WITH MORGAN FREEMAN. Courteney will discuss her approach to elevating and evolving the National Geographic brands in today’s fast-paced, competitive landscape, as well as her ambitions for selective scripted content alongside the unscripted backbone of the channels.
