Gamechanger: Mark Gordon, The Mark Gordon Company

With a hugely successful career in film and with credits including Saving Private Ryan, it’s no surprise that Mark Gordon’s subsequent foray into television resulted in monster hits Grey’s Anatomy and Criminal Minds. In this masterclass session, Gordon discusses his incredible creative and commercial success story – and how he overcame the challenges along the way.

As CEO of The Mark Gordon Company (MGC), which in 2015 partnered with Entertainment One (eOne) to create an independent television and film studio Gordon develops, finances and produces premium content. MGC is behind ABC’s hit drama series Designated Survivor starring Kiefer Sutherland and Gordon’s television executive producer credits also include global successes such as, Ray Donovan, and Quantico. MGC’s slate includes projects both developed internally, as well as from other producers and third parties who desire the support and creative input for which the company is known.

The former President of the Producers Guild of America also has a raft of films to his credit including the award-winning Speed, 2012, The Day after Tomorrow, The Patriot, and Steve Jobs.

His upcoming feature film projects include the live action film with Walt Disney Pictures, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms starring Keira Knightly and Morgan Freeman; Molly’s Game starring Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba with eOne; and Murder on the Orient Express with 20th Century Fox, starring and directed by Kenneth Branagh.
