Meet the Controller: Kevin Lygo, ITV
Just over a year on the job, ITV’s Director of Television Kevin Lygo, has certainly delivered on the promise to take risks and shake-up the broadcaster’s schedule.
But with criticism as well as praise levelled at some of those risks, Kevin will talk frankly about the success of The Voice and the ongoing plan to expand Saturday night entertainment, taking Coronation Street six times a week and what he really thinks about The Nightly Show.
He will be joined on stage by star commissioners, Siobhan Greene (Head of Entertainment) and Sue Murphy (Head of Factual Entertainment) for a deep dive into what’s hot and what’s not on ITV this year.
With commercial television under pressure from all sides, is innovation in factual or entertainment ever an objective?
