X-Men director Bryan Singer, The Walking Dead actor Michael Cudlitz and Marcella star Anna Friel are the final names to be announced for Edinburgh 2016.

Delegates will join an exclusive, intimate and wide-ranging discussion between director and producer, Bryan Singer (X Men, The Usual Suspects, House, Legion) and Chairman/CEO of Fox Networks Group, Peter Rice, as they discuss their respective careers, their longstanding creative partnership, the power of global brands, the relationship between commerce and creators and how they see the future of television.

Cudlitz, best known for his role as Sergeant Abraham Ford in the hit series The Walking Dead, joins critically acclaimed producer, Gale Anne Hurd, in a session detailing how FOX has helped to make this show a global phenomenon that breaks all the rules we know about TV hits. In addition, the panel will discuss how the show was conceived, produced and cast and how it has been successfully marketed to the global marketplace.

Acclaimed for her role as Detective Sergeant Marcella Backland in ITV’s Marcella, Friel joins acclaimed Swedish writer Hans Rosenfeldt in discussion about hit dramas Marcella as well as The Bridge, both celebrated for creating strong leading roles for women. Joined by CEO and Executive Producer of Marcella, Tony Wood, the conversation will detail how to bring original international authorship to the global stage.

“We are honoured to have world-renowned Bryan Singer join the Festival for the first time and the conversation between him and Peter Rice will be illuminating and a global exclusive. And I’m thrilled to welcome two actors from two of the most talked-about dramas of 2016, Marcella and The Walking Dead,” said Festival Director, Lisa Campbell.
