It’s official, we are revealing some of the brightest names in the television business who are going to help deliver another big, bold and brain-tingling Edinburgh TV Festival! We’re delighted to unveil the Advisory Committee for the 2016 Edinburgh International Television Festival brought to you by YouTube and BT, chaired this year by Fiona Campbell, BBC head of current affairs.
The team, which includes TV, international and digital execs, reflects Fiona’s global, future-facing outlook and an increasingly exciting landscape awash with new players and content models.
For an event that’s run by the TV industry for the TV industry, the committee is perfectly positioned to find the people and the topics that matter most to you.
Given that we are a charity running two talent schemes, the committee provide their time, expertise and contacts for free, on top of their day jobs. No doubt each has their own reasons for accepting the challenge (some more than once!), but the one thing they all have in common is a belief in striving for excellence to create a relevant, diverse and flourishing Festival.
On behalf of Executive Chair, Chris Shaw and the Festival team, enormous thanks go out to Fiona and her talented team of volunteers for their support.
