Edinburgh TV Awards 2015 open for nominations

The Oscars, the BAFTAs, the Grammys – if you thought awards season was over, think again, as nominations have opened for the 14th Edinburgh TV Awards.

The categories now open for nominations are:

Recognised throughout the TV world, the awards celebrate creative and commercial excellence in broadcasting and production, decided through a two-stage judging process, involving more than one hundred experts from within the industry.

Follow in the footsteps of last year’s winners – including Channel 4, Big Talk, Educating Yorkshire and The Murder Trial – and enter now to put yourself in the running to win the respect of your TV peers and a moment of glory at the glamorous Edinburgh TV Awards ceremony, held on Thursday 27 August, at this year’s 40th Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival powered by YouTube.

New for this year, we’ve launched the Best Online Innovation award, to celebrate outstanding work on digital content created for an online environment, to support or enhance TV content.

Says festival director, Lisa Campbell: “This year’s online innovation award reflects the fact that we’re not all about TV but celebrate stand-out creativity in all its forms. We look forward to seeing how the industry responds to a rapidly-changing media environment where technology, globalisation and commerce present new challenges very year.”

The deadline for first round entries is Tuesday 7 April.
